Tuesday, January 18, 2011. I was not excited when the new place I found to live included a fireplace. I NEVER start fires and they end up taking up valuable real estate-
someplace where a couch or a sofa could be. In the end, I've grown to love my
fireplace. I put two ottomans in front of it for seating, they can also be moved to the chaise and used as footstools or with a tray as a table. The mantel holds an assortment of photos of Charlie, Fred and Leroy in co-ordinating frames and candles with a similar print. On the wall over the mantel I placed a large cross and a favorite scripture verse. It's amazing that with a little work, something we don't like in the beginning can become a favorite!
