Cute New Food/Exercise Log

Monday, October 31, 2011.  I have been working with my dietitian for two months now and I've graduated from the stock food logs.  If you know me, you know that one of my life mottos is, "You have to work, but it doesn't have to be ugly".  That goes for food logs as well!  I found this cute thing at Barnes and Noble last night.  It will record MANY more weeks than the book I had been using, it has more room to write and it's darling!

I went completely off the wagon for the week before my surgery.  Not because of stress but because (1) I hate to waste food so I ate what was in my house.  Sure, what was in my house was healthy, but it was not always a low-cal mix since I was not buying groceries to fill in.  (2) I have TONS of friends and many of them shared their care and concern for me by taking me to eat.  I have no doubt that good times with friends had a lot to do with the lack of anxiety I had leading up to surgery.  There were those 2 melt-downs the day I did my pre-op but that was much less than I expected.

So today, October 31, 2011 I am recommitting myself to this lifestyle adaptation I am working on with Skinny Perky RD.  I really adore my dietitian-she's been a Godsend but I'm not using her name here because I sometimes say things like, "I think my dietitian is trying to kill me" and I don't want anything I say here in jest to hurt anyone's opinions of her.  That said, If you are looking for a dietitian in the Plano area, drop me an email and I'll gladly share her contact info.
